Bible Text: Matthew 13:1–9, 18–23 | Pastor: Pastor Kale Hanson | Series: Connected | This weekend we continue our exploration of what it means to be a part of a church, and the gifts we receive
from God through the church. Today we turn our eyes to 1 Peter, a book written by the apostle himself for
our benefit. In chapter 2, he uses a number of metaphors for the congregation, but one stands out and runs
all the way through, the congregation is the temple of God. We’re meant to hear his word, and take it out
with us that all people might know the great deeds of our God, who took us out of darkness and into his
light.
