I know that Thanksgiving is not even here yet, and maybe I should wait to talk about Christmas time until that is at least out of the way. But no one told Malachi that, and Advent is just around the corner. As Christians we are always looking for Jesus to come, as from the prophecy from Malachi 4:1-6, that says that when the day of the Lord comes he will send Elijah to turn the hearts of the people. This Elijah that is being sent is none other than John the Baptist? The one who came before the day of our Lord Jesus, who prepared the way for him, and turned the hearts of the people of Israel to their God. I guess we can be thinking about Christmas even today!
