Worship
From traditional to contemporary, Zion has something that will fit your style of worship. We offer 3 weekly services.
WORSHIP
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Saturdays -5:00 pm
A more relaxed traditional service that offers a traditional liturgical setting with organ or piano-led accompaniment.
Sundays – 8:15 am
This traditional service also follows the traditional liturgical setting, and recognizes our rich heritage as Lutherans.
Sundays – 10:45 am
This contemporary service is led by one of our praise bands. We blend our Lutheran heritage with a more contemporary feel.
COMMUNION
Communion is offered at the 2nd and last weekends of the month at each service.
CHILDREN
We love when children worship with us!
To the parents of our young children may we suggest…
- Relax! God put the wiggle in children. Don’t feel you have to suppress it in God’s house.
- Quietly explain the parts of the worship service.
- Sing the songs, pray, and speak the responses. Children learn worship by copying you!
- If you need to leave the worship service with your child, please feel free to do so, but please come back!
- If you do choose to leave the service, feel free to utilize our family nursery room where parents and children can see and hear worship. This room is somewhat soundproof, and is stocked with children’s toys. It is located to the left when you are entering the Sanctuary.
To all who worship with us…
- Remember, the way we welcome children in church directly affects the way they respond to church and God. Let them know they are at home in the worship gathering!
- A smile of encouragement is always welcome to parents with small, active children.
- If you see that a family could use some assistance, graciously offer your help.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Matthew 19:14
